Education Blog: A Great Year at TKC, November 2023

We are having a great Religious School year! Now that the High Holy Days are behind us, we are looking forward to Chanukkah and all the fun and excitement in store.

We are also keenly aware of the world events and what is happening in Israel. Because of that, we have increased security throughout our Sunday school hours, including only using one door for entering and exiting, having emergency buttons on hand on both floors, and keeping classroom doors locked from the outside. These precautions have so far been unneeded but we will continue them as long as the United States Jewish community remains on elevated alert.

We hope that you will join us for our upcoming Chanukkah Celebrations – the first time we are going to have things on all 8 nights here at TKC with our brand NEW oversized menorah to light nightly. We will be partnering with Seeds of Wonder for these events and hope to receive a grant from the Federation to support our efforts. It’s also our turn to host the four-synagogue Roswell/East Cobb community Chanukkah event on December 12th. Dinner, DJ, and fun to be had! Invite your friends and neighbors!

From the Mitzner Family Religious School to all of the TKC kehillah, we wish you a joyful, peaceful, and happy New Year! Stay safe and well and we hope to see you around our school on Sunday mornings very soon!
